It just means that she isn't the right friend for you right now. Fair enough.

I know how much this all hurts. I'm sorry that things have been so hard.

(here from creme)Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02747382929049494704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591082191075649325.post-69377683395167128112011-01-10T22:06:21.107-05:002011-01-10T22:06:21.107-05:00Here via the Crème de la Crème list. Sometimes it's okay and even necessary to give yourself permission to be a bad friend.ericahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06347057746449071812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591082191075649325.post-49946753047690089652011-01-07T04:06:26.962-05:002011-01-07T04:06:26.962-05:00As usual, Bea puts it better than I ever could. :)...As usual, Bea puts it better than I ever could. :)

It's ok to take stock of the friendships you have, and decide that it is better to let some slip away.
Really. With friend number 2 you're on such different pages now, that she can't help you and you can't help her.

With friend number one, maybe you need to think whether you want to share your problems with her.
Without expecting that she'll get it in all it's nuances. Show her the text from Resolve, perhaps.
Ask her not to share her TTC journey in technicolor with you. Tell her how you would prefer to hear her news when the time comes? Maybe, think it over.

(Arrived from the Crème de la Crème list)Lut C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03893061829410958985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591082191075649325.post-41660815335896207212011-01-03T12:31:04.955-05:002011-01-03T12:31:04.955-05:00I'm visiting from Creme De La Creme! Now, she is constantly complaining about weight gain! She always said she didn't want kids because she is too selfish. She only started trying because she wanted to quit her job and her husband told her they'd have to start trying if she quit her job (he wanted to start trying some time ago...she didn't.) Well, she quit in June, they started trying in September and .....BAM, she is pregnant...right away! I just can't believe it! It's so not fair!Kristahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05896010219423867907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591082191075649325.post-71087952249375309432011-01-03T04:47:02.394-05:002011-01-03T04:47:02.394-05:00A very honest post. Of course, it's hard for her to do the right thing without knowing, but it's at least as hard for you to open up to her when you're not happy with her attitude towards parenting. Regardless, you're not a bad person - you're in a very vulnerable spot in this post. At the end of the day, if you can answer to your own conscience, that's what matters.

BeaBeahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11877513815828460269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591082191075649325.post-91988937212166395522011-01-02T21:36:35.472-05:002011-01-02T21:36:35.472-05:00Just wanted to thank you for sharing this post wit...Just wanted to thank you for sharing this post with CdlC and wish you a happy new year! We all have the right to choose the people who we extend ourselves to, and it sounds like you are making the right choice about no longer extending yourself to these people. I only have a few people who I choose to extend myself to, and for them, I would do anything. I hope that you have a few friends like that who you can focus your energy on and have it reciprocated.
Much love - Foxyfoxyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05482866425915180237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591082191075649325.post-3248332059266289162010-07-19T18:59:30.638-04:002010-07-19T18:59:30.638-04:00She does suck, and you are not a bad friend.

I find that my thoughts can be irrational and in turn make me feel guilty. I don't think you are a bad friend, I can guarentee I would be stewing over the same thoughtless comments.

As for your friend getting AF late, I know that panic and fear when you suspect yet another person is knocked up, it totally sucks.

Don't be too hard on yourself!Gurleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05562588754936930732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591082191075649325.post-20519582179556287612010-07-15T21:46:38.706-04:002010-07-15T21:46:38.706-04:00So, we've never met, but somehow I doubt you&#...So, we've never met, but somehow I doubt you're a bad friend :)

I totally get where you are coming from, though, and I can't believe your second friend and her comments she's made about pregnancy and parenting. That sucks.

I know how you feel when you say that you think you are being a bad friend, but I think this whole process of not being able to get pregnant when we wanted makes us that much more sensitive and needy of "me time". Sometimes that is enough for us to feel like we aren't the best friends we could be to our girlfriends.

Hang in there, lady... I bet your friends don't think you're a bad friend :)- Mrs. Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06524403137652318209noreply@blogger.com
